Kemelix 3515X is a polyimine derivative used as a demulsifier intermediate. It exhibits excellent demulsifier properties in the destabilising of water-in-oil emulsions. This makes it a superior dehazer for use as a component in dewatering formulations. Kemelix 3515X is also useful as a component of desalting formulations in the oil and related industries. Alongside Kemelix 3515X's demulsifying properties, it also acts as a non-emulsifier intermediate to prevent emulsion formation. Kemelix 3515X is highly effective at low inclusion levels meaning reduction in costs of demulsifier formulations. It also has a high speed of action, increasing it's suitability in separation vessels with shorter residence times. Croda's recommended crude oil demulsifier formulation for Kemilix 3515X is 10-1000ppm.
