Kemelix 3678X is a resin alkoxylate which is dispersible in water. It acts as an excellent demulsifier intermediate, destabilising water-in-oil emulsions. This makes it a superior desalter, removing salts and residual water from crude oil. Kemelix 3678X is highly effective at low inclusion levels meaning reduction in costs of demulsifier formulations. It also has a high speed of action, increasing it's suitability in separation vessels with shorter residence times. With it's low pour point, handling is easier, particularly at lower temperatures.Croda's reccomended crude oil demulsifier formulation for Kemilix 3678X is 10-1000ppm.
