A modified polymeric alkoxylate in mixed xylene solvent. This product is an excellent demulsifier intermediate, destabilising water-in-oil emulsions. This makes it a superior dehazer for use as a component in dewatering formulations. Kemelix D317 can also be used as a component in desalting formulations in both the oilfield and the refinery.
